Once designed, prototype-tested and finalized for manufacture,
Schiebel’s production facility is brought to ensure the
component is manufactured to the highest of standards.
The
precision requirements and high-technology applications are so exacting
that it will come as no surprise to learn that Schiebel’s composite
facility has been instrumental in some of the most advanced composite
applications.
Noteworthy is the involvement in the aerospace
components for the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as well as
various high-specification components for the racing sports industry.
Parts include aerodynamic front-wing components, crumple zone areas in
the monocoque section and heat-protection area around the engine bay and
the exhaust. All components are viable given the exceptional and
specific properties of composite technologies, including weight-saving,
structural shaping opportunities, robustness and heat protective
properties. But the opportunities of composites know no boundaries and
the additional electro-conductivity coupled usefully to the
electromagnetic shielding properties offers a host of clever
applications to a myriad of industries.
