A typical system setup consists of two S-100 air vehicles with multiple payloads, a ground control system with two workstations and data link – a design optimised to ensure minimal footprint and 24/7 availability.
The CUBE is the hub between all system components, including networks, to simplify installation, connectivity and cabling. Its design allows portable use of permanent installation on vehicles and ships.
The CAMCOPTER® S-100 is operated using two dedicated laptops: one for controlling the aircraft itself and another for managing its payloads, ensuring seamless operation and precise mission execution.
The system setup includes a variety of tracking antennas, allowing for flexible and reliable operation depending on the specific mission requirements and operational environment.
The S-100 navigates automatically via pre-programmed GPS waypoints or can be operated directly with a pilot control unit.
The ground modules provide precise real-time positioning, navigation and redundant communication capabilities, ensuring seamless coordination between ground control station and air vehicle even in challenging environments.

The Schiebel CAMCOPTER® S-100 has been successfully deployed on over 50 vessels worldwide, demonstrating its exceptional capabilities in all weather conditions, day and night, with an unparalleled track record of reliability and performance.
The S-100 has been successfully deployed in a wide range of land-based operations worldwide. From rugged terrain to remote locations, it delivers reliable, real-time intelligence, ensuring mission success in any environment.
The robust system software has been continuously developed to be versatile, adaptable and intuitive to use. The Primary Flight Display (PFD) shows position, mission and diagnostic status information in real time, while the dedicated payload workstation permits control of multiple payloads for data viewing, recording and processing. Flexible system setup allows control of the S-100 from either ruggedised multi-screen consoles or from just two laptops. Integration with third-party infrastructures, such as Emergency Response Coordination Centres (ERCC) or Combat Management Systems (CMS) on naval vessels, is provided for dissemination of live data and remote control.
The encrypted data link provides secure, real-time connectivity with various range options out to 200 km (108 nm). A Satellite Communication (SATCOM) module is available for operations beyond topographical line of sight.
The S-100 system offers versatile operational options to suit a wide range of mission profiles. It can be deployed in mobile configurations, enabling rapid setup and operation from vehicles or temporary sites. For more static applications, the system can be used in stationary setups, providing consistent and reliable coverage from fixed locations. Additionally, the Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) capability allows seamless integration with manned platforms, enabling coordinated operations for enhanced situational awareness and operational efficiency.
The S-100 is STANAG 4586-compatible, capable of transferring information seamlessly, The sophisticated level of interoperability allows interaction and direct control from land-based stations, vessels, land vehicles and aircraft (MUM-T).
