Applications

For military use

For over a decade, the AN-19/2 has been proven to work effectively in all mine detection roles on the battlefield and is the standard detector for numerous armies, including most NATO countries.

It has an extremely long battery life of over seventy hours, which enables it to last for entire battlefield missions, as well as an exceptionally high probability of first-time operation when switched on – even after long periods of storage.

The AN-19/2 mine detection set has been continuously updated over the years. Its latest version has extremely high sensitivity and is capable of detecting all minimum metal content at threat depth. It is also fully operational in all climates and under water to a depth of 2 meters.

For humanitarian use

Its ease of operation, reliability and lightweight design makes it the ideal mine detection set for humanitarian situations. This is highlighted by it being the most widely used detector in the world, used by the UN, Handicap International and the British Mines Advisory Group, amongst many others.

Components

The AN-19/2 is highly flexible and user-friendly. Its modular design allows the operator to configure the system in the most comfortable way. Maintenance of the AN-19/2 is simple, as damaged parts can easily be replaced to quickly continue operations.

Operation: Quick to set up, easy to operate.

Importantly in volatile military and humanitarian situations, the AN-19/2 can be operated effectively after only eight hours of training and a three-minute setup. The sweep speed of the search head is approximately one meter per second and it performs just as well when on a ‘padding’ motion – which is usually used in tight areas. The acoustic signal will help the operator to find the exact location of the object and will change in frequency and volume to assist in estimating the size and shape of the object.
